Yahoo Texas!

This weekend took us to Corpus Christi, Texas for the Jan Paris Book Fest for our first To Timbuktu event. We gave two presentations to librarians and future librarians and they were so kind to us! They laughed, they cried, they took pictures:

It was a blast kicking this off with Jon Scieszka (yes, same family Scieszka) who was a keynote speaker along with Laurie Halse Anderson. When we weren’t yuckin it up with librarians we were out exploring the town and eating.

And later that night, when watching “King of the Hill” in our hotel room one of the characters, Boomhauer, GOES TO CORPUS CHRISTI. It was totally a sign! Of what, we’re still not sure. BUT IT WAS TOTALLY A SIGN.
